On June 10, 2026, expert market forecasters will share their views on the Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal and Alberta governments regarding changes to the Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction Regulation.

 

This luncheon session brings together leading market forecasters covering Alberta’s electricity market to discuss the recently announced implementation agreement for the Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal and Alberta governments. The agreement sets out the proposed carbon pricing and performance standard stringencies under Alberta’s Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction Regulation, amongst other measures.

 

Panelists will share their perspectives on how these changes may impact electricity prices, generation investment, and the future of Alberta’s electricity market.
